HOLY MOLY! I hit one hundred followers. That means 100 people took time out of their busy day to read at least a snippet of what I have to say and decide that it is worthy of their mouse click. That is HUGE! I am guessing that not everyone knows how I came to be diagnosed with bipolar and all of the crazy surrounding it. It has not been an easy road and even though I have not had a major depression in a little over a year I am always looking over my shoulder waiting for it to happen. It sucks to live that way but I am grateful for the "normal time" I have had. Click here for the whole story.
A BIG THANKS to all of those who continue to watch my story unfold and hopefully I can provide some useful information or a comic relief when you need it most.
Congratulations Donda! It must feel terrific that your message resonates with so many people. But more importantly, you are a fantastic writer with a ton of wit and character!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations once again!

ReplyDeleteThat was me! :) I was going to post again woo hoo I am 100...but I thought I was the only one that found joy in those kind of milestones! Great job and I look forward to reading more about you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks back to you! Some of us cant wait to hear your story unfold!
ReplyDeleteLuster I would bake ya a cake! Actually, I would bake EVERYONE a cake! I love milestones! Mama, I am sure you know that I have a whole house full of rugrats so there is always something unfolding. Now, I have a whole crap to-do list today so I have to get my butt in gear! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo and congratulations to you !
ReplyDeleteI recently hit the 100 mark and it does make you feel so good.
You're blog is great and I for one am so glad I found it.
You deserve it. You keep everyone entertained and you always have something to say. Congrats! Enjoy it! Here's to looking forward to the next 100!
ReplyDeleteAs a mom to a bipolar, recently diagnosed son, I need all the help and info I can get.. He will be 18 next month and I am terrified of whathe is going to find himself in because he refuses to do the MENTAL work it takes to have control..
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how it would have been for me if I had found out when I was 18. I definitely "acted out" and had all the classic signs looking back. It was hard enough having to accept that label at 35. Just encourage him to know that the label DOES NOT define him. It is just medical. It doesn't have to be his downfall....it can be his greatest asset. I CANNOT say this enough...once he finds the right mix of meds (if that is the route you guys are going) STAY ON THEM!! Remind him to pay attention to himself and there are mood forms you can get online that he can track his moods daily. Tracking triggers is the best thing he can do for himself. There will be peaks and valleys and this too shall pass!
ReplyDeleteYAY for you!!!
ReplyDelete100 followers is a landmark for sure!!!
YAY!
You rock Donda!
I have been pimping myself shamelessly for 6 weeks now so this seems like the perfect time to pull out my favorite movie quote of all time!!! >> "Well, um, seeing as how I have no brains or legal expertise, and Ed here was losing all faith in the system, am I right? I just went out there and performed sexual favors. Six hundred and thirty-four blow jobs in five days... I'm really quite tired."~Erin Brockovich

Thanks a bunch, #103 :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 100 followers. I think it's great when we can laugh at all our imperfections. We affectionately refer to my drugs as crazy pills. Two a day keeps the crazy away.
ReplyDeleteThe crazy pills are great....when you finally find the right one for "your crazy". If I didn't learn to laugh at myself I would be crazier than Cootie Brown!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Congrats! Next up..200 :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100 followers!
